Celebrating my anniversary as a writer. Here is how my autobiography, Wunderkind, opens:
"It is 8:45 on Friday morning October 25 1985 and I just woke up to
discover that I am a writer. Is this because today is Picasso's birthday? I
don't know, but I'm a strange guy. It's like I can be something for years
without realizing it. Maybe we're all like that."
