Gary is presenting 11 Piano sonatas of Schubert in 4 concerts at the English Church in the Begijnhof, Amsterdam, on Saturday evenings at 8:15 PM. The concert dates are: October 15 and December 3, 2011, and February 11 and April 21, 2012.

Practicing music and painting paintings are sensuous activities. While working at them we can revel in sound and color. But for me, personally, writing is different. It is more like chewing cardboard. A task, something needing to be done, work, constantly being edited, perhaps driven - but without the added benefits of sensory output or enjoyment.

Excuses are simply a form of insincerity. When offered to you repeatedly over a period of time they are just an insult to your intelligence. If you accept them, then it is like taking slow poison.

The body has its own wisdom. Do not make the mistake of elevating the brain to the position of primary importance. The body rarely lies, but the mouth does so a good deal of the time.
